Understand Mafia Wars Job Mastery

If you are focused on completing Mafia Wars jobs, you should know it is the safest and fastest method of leveling.  Fighting and robbing will get you leveling fast, too, but then you will have to deal with the consequences which can get very personal and a bit messy.  Revenge is not an issue when you are emphasizing jobs to collect your leveling experience points.

And jobs don’t only yield experience.  Money and loot are also products of doin’ the job.  Job loot can aid you in equipping your crew.  It could be a weapon, armor, or a vehicle in the loot drop.  The loot drops may include collection items, too.  Since completing jobs is also a great way to start your money rollin’ too, it’s jobs that deliver a powerful platform for Mafia Wars profile maximization.

Don’t overlook the fact that you’ll earn skill points each time you “master” any job and job tier.  Skill points are the key to your character building effort.  When you’re looking to power level, you’ll put those points into energy.  Otherwise, you could use them to beef up any of your personal stats that seem to be deficient.

Everyone begins Mafia Wars in the Street Thug job tier.  Each job tier is related to a specific group of Mafia Wars levels.  At level one through four, Street Thug is the tier.  When you get to level 100+, you’ll be, theoretically, ready to master the Boss tier in NYC Mafia Wars. These are the jobs for Street Thug Tier (with job ratio): Mugging (1); Corner Store Hold-Up (1); Warehouse Robbery (1); Auto Theft (1.14); Beat Up Rival Gangster (1); Rob A Pimp (1); Collect On A Loan (1).

When you begin, these are your job choices that match your new character’s abilities.  You can go up to the following tier before you’ve mastered each job in the tier 1x, but you can’t get all the mastery titles. In a nutshell, your current level and your mastery of the preceding tier controls which tier you can work comfortably.  Jobs will get harder (prep jobs, consumables, crew required) and consume more energy as you progress up the tiers toward Boss.

Every job in Street Thug tier will need to be mastered by you.  Get used to picking the highest Mafia Wars jobs ratio right away by selecting Auto Theft!  Mastering Auto Theft is going to necessitate that you repeat it a bunch of times.  You can see the headway you’re making in mastery by watching the blue bar fill up as you do the job again and again.  When you’ve mastered Auto Theft, it will be a filled blue bar.  A skill point will be added to your total when you’ve mastered a job.

Master each job in the tier, and you’ll have earned the 1st time mastery.  You earn another skill point and a new title for your character.  You are now “Street Thug YourMWName.”

Although you’ve mastered a tier, you ought to continue to work those jobs.  Some jobs will yield cherry loot, experience, or money.  Some jobs are worth working even though you’ve leveled out of the tier and mastered it.  Street Thug tier isn’t especially loaded with the primo stuff, but if you want the .22 pistol or 9mm semi, or one of the Diamond cards for a collection, you’ll be able to find them in this tier’s loot drops!

It’s not pointless to master every job in Street Thug for a second time.  Get yourself a fancier title – Skilled Street Thug – another set of skill points, and a five percent increase in loot drops.

Grit your teeth and master each job for the 3rd time and you’ll receive more skill points and the top title for the tier, “Master Street Thug Don Default.”  You’ll also get 10% more loot in the Street thug tier.  And the real gravy – you earn 5% experience bonus for any Street Thug job you do after mastery.

You’ll also receive the bonus item for 3rd tier mastery.  The bonus item for Street Thug triple mastery is the Pistol Bayonet; it improves the amount of damage you deliver in a fight by four percent.  Every tier has a different mastery bonus item and they are typically WORTH getting.

Something to consider: Completing every NYC job to the triple cycle of mastery will result in 219 skill points by the time you complete Boss in Mafia Wars!  Smokin’ hot!
