Anybody as old as me will surely remember the original Ghostbusters game on the Commodore 64? Happy memories of rushing to the latest call out in your upgraded Ecto 1 Ghost Mobile! Watching the cash rake in after yet another successful mission of deftly using the streams to position another slimer over the trap. It was one of the very few film tie-ins back then that worked and it was a huge hit (for Activision if memory serves me right). That and Rambo 2 were probably my favourite movie games back on the Commodore 64, it’s enough to make me want to boot up the old emulator for a blast!
But enough of the past, there’s now a new Ghostbusters game. I can’t decide whether I like the look of this or not, it’s not even released yet and it looks dated compared to some of the latest releases on the next gen consoles. Graphics do not maketh the game though and if they can catpure some of the playability of the original Ghostbusters game then this could be a goody!
